Alex Bowe

Hi! I am a Ph.D. student at Melbourne University (under Justin Zobel) and National Institute of Informatics, Tokyo (under Kunihiko Sadakane). I study succinct data structures and parallel algorithms.

This site primarily serves as a reservoir for my thoughts, and to give me practice writing. I do intend for my posts to be helpful, though. If I have helped you somehow, it'd be great to hear from you!

This is a nice article I read back in February which discusses why it's a good thing when you realize how very little you know. I feel just like that right now, and I'm enjoying it because there is so much territory left to explore...

No One Knows What the F*** They're Doing (or "The 3 Types of Knowledge")
